10 fun things to do during Easter break

Whether you’re staying local or heading out on an adventure, like travelling to a neighboring Caribbean country, here are 10 fun ideas you might want to consider for Easter Break!

 Go to Church

Remember Jesus is the reason for the season. From Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday, we reflect on the Jesus’ preparation and journey to the cross. He died to set us free, so let’s remember him.

Have a Creative Day

Paint, draw, DIY something cool, or even try your hand at photography. Easter is full of colors and inspiration perfect for getting artistic.

Beach Day

If you’re near water, pack a picnic, sunscreen, and your favorite playlist. Don’t forget a good book or a frisbee for extra chill vibes.

 Go Hiking or Camping

Get outdoors and reconnect with nature. Whether it’s a day hike or a full weekend camping trip, fresh air and unplugging is always a win.

Host a Movie or Game Night

Invite your favorite people over, make popcorn, grab snacks, and settle in for a movie marathon or some friendly competition with board/video games.

Create a Easter Photo Journal

Document your adventures even the small moments. Later, you can turn your photos into a scrapbook or digital album.

Try New Recipes or Bake Something Fun

Pick out a few cool recipes to try — maybe something you’ve seen on TikTok or Pinterest. You could even host a bake-off with friends.

Do a Random Act of Kindness

Spread some good vibes! Volunteer, leave kind notes around town, or surprise someone with coffee. Fun and fulfilling at the same time.

Take a Mental Health Day

Easter break doesn’t have to be all go-go-go. Take a full day to sleep in, journal, do yoga, or just relax and recharge.

Have a Spring Refresh Day

Declutter your room, update your playlist, or revamp your wardrobe. It’s like spring cleaning for your soul.

With these fun ideas I hope you all enjoy your Easter break!!!!

The Science of Syllables

Several weeks ago, we began to explore the basics of syllabication. Today, we will explain the rules and importance of syllables.

But first let’s review:

Syllables are parts of spoken language that have one vowel sound.

Consonants can be placed before or after the vowel, creating different patterns (like “pi” and “lot” in pilot and “or” and “chard” in orchard). Sometimes, a syllable may not have a consonant, especially when a vowel sound stands alone (like “a” in “a-bout”).

Now, that we are up to speed. Let’s continue the exploration.

Why Syllables Matter?
