Welcome back to The Tea, Cubs!

Let’s talk goals… of a different kind. This week, “Heard in the Huddle” is tackling the age-old debate: “Schoolwork vs. Playing Time.” We all love Friday night lights. The roar of the crowd, the smell of freshly cut grass, the thrill of the game. But let’s be real, hitting the books is equally important. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “But coach said grades don’t matter as much as wins!” Wrong.

* Grades are your ticket to the future. Whether it’s college scholarships, professional careers, or simply a brighter future, your grades open doors.
* Academic success builds character. It teaches discipline, perseverance, and the value of hard work – all essential qualities for a successful athlete.
* The field is temporary, education is forever. Injuries happen. Careers change. But your education will always be with you.

So, here’s the deal:
* Maintain your eligibility. Keep those grades up!
* Time management is key. Find a balance between practice, games, and studying.
* Seek help when you need it. Tutors, teachers, and your academic counselors are there to support you.

So for all our school athletes, remember, being a successful athlete is about more than just hat tricks and goals. It’s about being a well-rounded individual who excels both on and off the field.

Until next time cubs.
